Make Money Online

Best Freelancing Sites

Here is a list of Freelance sites where you can both find Freelance jobs and hire freelancers to help you with your business. You can find programmers, developers, writers, graphic designers and almost any type of worker or job that can be done online. Looks for the fees. Some charge fees for posting jobs, others charge fees for taking jobs. Some sites just “curate” lists of job from other job sites. Others focus on local freelancers. Some claim to be gurus but charge big money for their services.
If you have other sites that I missed please let me know if the comments area.
Freelancer.com-This is the biggestWorld’s largest freelancing and crowd sourcing market place. “We connect over 17,338,794 employers and freelancers globally from over 247 countries, regions, and territories.” I have found some good programmers who worked reasonably here. The bought out Script lance. I miss them!
Guru.com-You may not find enlightenment here but while you are waiting you can get a freelance job. The owner seems cool he is called the chief Sage, Inder Guglani. They say they are “self-funded” I thought this meant that they did everything for the higher good and they worked for free. But Guru Charge fees ranging from %4.95 to %8.95 depending on the subscription plan you choose. Fees are only for Freelancers. It is free to post a job.
Infomist.com-Pakistan’s first freelance marketplace. Might be worth a try. He actually started his site from Guru.com. He is one of their testimonials. You might find some good technical people here if you are looking to hire. I would not go here if you needed somebody with idiomatic language skills. If you are in Pakistan you could sign up here to look for work.
Upwork.com-Odesk and Elance merged to form Upwork.com. Both sites were huge freelance sites so this one should be even better. They charge a flat 10% fee to the freelancer. If you pay $20. then the freelancer get $18. There is no subscription like with Guru.com.
Simplyhired.com-This is not a Freelance board like most of the other sites it is a job search engine. You type in your location and you keywords and it spits out jobs from various databases.
Localsolo.com-If you want to hire somebody from your neck of the woods this is the site for you. You type in your location and you can find local freelancers. Likewise if you are looking to work with somebody local you can sign up here. You do not pay any percentage as a freelancer. You keep all the money for your work. It is free to be listed here. I find Localsolo to be more guruesque than Guru. You will not be competing with cheap labor from Pakistan here. The employers who look here are looking for somebody near them. Great concept.
Juiicy.com-Three i’s in the name is just too much. This is a site where designers refer designers and everybody takes a cut. Not a free site. Too cutesy for me. It is a private community.
Matchist.com-A community of US based developers.
Gigster.com-Only the best. Only the Elite. Gigster connects you with Silicon Valley based product managers and top 5% software developers from our vetted talent pool. Get a guaranteed price quote in minutes. Impossible to find their fees if any on their site.
Folyo.me-Folyo is a private community of hand-picked designers. Post your project, and you’ll receive a shortlist of the best designers for the job. Posting a job cost $99. If you can’t find the right designer you get a full refund plus 20% discount next time you post. At least they tell you the deal straight up front and you do not have to scour their website for their fees. To be accepted you must have a personal portfolio.
Onsite.io-OnSite is a curated marketplace of freelance opportunities, matched to qualified, available talent. Need an expert interface designer with basic development skills, ready to start next Monday? Not a problem.
Gun.io-If you are a developer you must apply with Github. Good idea to have some projects listed there.
Crew.co-Freelance site like the others. Crew charges a 15% service fee for each project to cover payment security and all transaction fees.
envato.co-Hand-picked designers and developers ready for your project.
Gotraction.com-Traction connects you to a multi-channel marketing team uniquely suited to maximize budget and make your campaign a success
Krop.com-website used by the most talented candidates at all experience levels, and the globe’s most respected creative brands. Run by humans that pick up the phone and love our customers.
Wphired.comSpecializing in wordpress and free to post a job.
Authenticjobs.com-Job board that costs from $99-$499 to post a job depending on what what type of job. Great place to find serious employers if they pay that much to post. Maybe that is why they are “authentic.”
Workingnomads.com-Love them name.(Take note juiiiiicy) This is a job board which simply takes jobs from different sites and organizes them. They call it “curating.” Simple design. Worth a shot.I found jobs listed here from authenticjobs.com and other sites.
Coroflot.com-Inspiring Talent. Exceptional Work. Design-driven companies worldwide use Coroflot to recruit a full spectrum of creative talent.
mashable.com-Job posting fees start at $199. on one of the most popular fluff blogs in the world. Champions of news regurgitation. They get a ton of traffic.
smashingmagazine.com/freelance-$225to post a fulltime job and $75to post a freelance job.
Fiverr.com-You can create your own freelance work there. Come up with something you can sell for $5.and sells it over and over. How about an ebook on how to be successful as a freelance? Use the upgrades as a creative way to make more than $5.per sale. Please let me know if I missed any sites! Thank you! Please like and share.
