Why Tech giant Google is grave to winning on telecom

Google started his journey in 1996 with  search engine then keep change focus on various things like online advertising, maps and online video.
Now a days Google has turned its attention toward telecom business very seriously.
Projects like :- google fiber, google loon, google Fi are clearly showing their interest in telecom business.

Google started to show their interest with the launch of Google Fiber project in 18 city's earlier in this year, it is ultra-fast Internet service provided by the search giant google,

Google Fiber is offering an Internet connection speed that’s up to 1,000 megabits per second, along with a TV service like no other. this is roughly 100x faster than the average speed of US in just for $70 a month.

And here starts battle between Google and traditional Internet providers for the next generation of Web users.

Googles another ambitious project Google Loon with the mission of providing Internet access to rural and remote areas. The project uses high-altitude balloons placed in the stratosphere at an altitude of about 18 km to create an aerial wireless network with up to 4G-LTE speeds.

Google has began a pilot experiment in New Zealand where about 30 balloons were launched in coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority from the Tekapo area in the South Island.

Project Fi is program of Google X lab, secret reserch arm og google, project Fi's mission is to deliver a fast, easy wireless experience in close partnership with leading carriers, hardware makers, and users
through new technology developed with partners(wireless carriers),
Project Fi puts you on the best available network between Wi-Fi and two 4G LTE networks. This means you get access to more cell towers and 4G LTE in more places.

  • project Fi's attractive plan starts with the Fi Basics for $20 per month, which includes: unlimited domestic talk and text, unlimited international texts, ability to use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, and coverage in 120+ countries.
  • project provides $10 per GB for data, It's always $10 per GB for data. $10 for 1GB, $20 for 2GB, $30 for 3GB and so on. That's it. With no annual contract required.
  •  Never pay for unused data:- At the end of each month, you’ll get your unused data credited in dollars and cents, so you only pay for what you use.
  • Pay one rate for data around the world:- In 120+ countries, data usage costs the same $10 per GB as it does in the US. Also, call around the world for 20¢ per minute and send unlimited international texts.
Well googles main strategy is to drive more and more users on its applications, from this multi-layered strategy even  if google makes only 10% profit margin on its fiber and wireless offerings, that’s enough for it to be successful and to achieve the desired result of driving more use of its applications.
because user data, mainly behavioral insights drawn from users of its free services, such as search engine, mail services, YouTube made google one of the world’s biggest companies. users data information is the vital of Google’s business model.
Another point is with the googles own upcoming smartphones and its own android operating system makes great combination of hardware, software and services so company can claim so much control over the user experience.
